Impressionism Characteristics

Impressionists experimented with color using an even more optical strategy, mixing unblended pigments to produce a nebulous mixture of pure color. These artists additionally worked with short, rushed brushstrokes, usually because they worked quickly outside. Impressionists also explored the theme of isolation in a newly crowded culture through their subject’s gaze, which hardly ever met those of other people in the same scene. Similarly, music artists would also include real barriers, such as balconies and bars, between subjects in their structure.
