A fine painting by William Snell Morish. He was a West Country artist, born at Chagford, Devon in 1844, he died in 1917. He painted mostly in Devon and was a frequent painter of Dartmoor scenes. Exeter Museum has some work by this artist on display. Recently cleaned this painting is as near perfect as you can get, it is also the largest painting we have at present! Signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner.

A superb painting that is also a good investment!
