Arthur Suker was born in 1857. He became a professional painter after studying at the Birkenhead School of Art. He lived in Liverpool and also Devon. He painted in the lake district, Wales, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. This lovely atmospheric painting really captures the late evening light on what is probably Dartmoor. In lovely condition and without imperfections. Signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner.
