A very fine bold painting by H. Jenkins, he was probably related George Henry Jenkins. This is a beautiful picture, you can sense the swell of the waves and the roll of the sailing barge. Condition is excellent, the painting has been recently cleaned, there are just a couple of very faint blemishes in the sky which could be original to the paper. He was known to have exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists. The painting is signed lower left H. Jenkins Lowestoft.
